Occupational Medicine

Whether it’s a work related injury or help in procuring a pre employment physical, we are your answer to all your occupational needs.

Our facility is aided with an in-house state of the art computerized low radiation x-ray and lab to provide you with excellent professional care.

We offer assistance in getting a pre- certification for an MRI or CT scan.
We are open late evenings for your convenience.

Travel Medicine

When traveling abroad for business, academics, or pleasure, there are precautions you should take and certain health risks you should consider before you go. During your visit the doctor will review your travel plans and discuss CDC recomended vaccines with you. We can administer most commonly used vaccines including those required for international travel. We can also provide you with prescription for commonly needed medication like anti-malaria etc. For more information on travel vaccines call our office at 914.372.7171. Please schedule your visit in advance as some vaccines need to be administered at least 2 weeks prior to date of travel.

  • Yellow Fever Vaccine
  • Tetanus: Recommended every 5 years.
  • Hepatitis A: Series of 2 doses, 6-18 months apart
  • Hepatitis B: Series of 3 doses, 2 and 6 months apart
  • Typhoid

On Site X-Ray

Dwell Family Doctors offers state of the art low radiation digital X-Ray service to assist in diagnosing many orthopedic problems as well as non-orthopedic conditions.

In addition to being read by our doctors on premises X-Rays are also interpreted by a radiologist offsite for an expert opinion. A formal report is sent by the radiologist the next day to confirm a diagnosis.

We can also assist you in getting a pre- certification for an MRI or CT scan


Vaccines

We can administer most commonly used vaccines including those required for colleges and international travel.

  • Tetanus: Recommended every 5 years.
  • Tdap (Tetanus Toxoid reduced – Diphtheria – acellular Pertussis)
  • Influenza or Flu Vaccine: Seasonal; recommended at begining or during flu season each year
  • Pneumonia Vaccine
  • Meningitis: Single dose; usually required by most colleges
  • Hepatitis A: Series of 2 doses, 6-18 months apart
  • Hepatitis B: Series of 3 doses, 2 and 6 months apart
  • Gardasil: Series of 3 doses
  • MMR: 2 doses required over lifetime
  • PPD (for Tuberculosis screening)
  • Herpes Zoster (Shingles)
  • Yellow Fever Vaccine

Laboratory Services

Blood draws and lab work is performed on-site as well as at our offsite affiliated labs, saving you the hassle of availing these services elsewhere.

  • Rapid flu (Influenza A&B )and rapid strep
