Personal Interests

Medicine has been a very personally fulfilling career for me, knowing that I could intervene in a positive way in someone’s life at their time of need. Dealing with a medical problem, whether major or minor, leaves me with a feeling of satisfaction if I am able to help. This way I can sleep at night and enjoy the other side of my personal life, spending time with family and friends and my two constant companions, Sally and Gypsy, my two adopted puppies. Traveling has always been very important to me, as I can learn from different cultures and people. Gardening has also become important to me as I have grown older. Life in any form should be appreciated and valued.

Dr. Vasilios Pitsios, MD, completed his medical training in 1988, followed by 3 years of residency at Lenox Hill Hospital and 2 years at a fellowship at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. During that time, he also started working at St. Vincent’s ER in Manhattan and enjoyed the experience, so he continued work in the field in the same hospital until 2005. After that, Dr. Pitsios continued in the ER department of Westchester Square Hospital, and after 6 years there started working in the Urgent Care in Tarrytown.
